The Incidence of Low Back Pain among Healthcare Students and Their Beliefs on Its Association with Physical Function

The high prevalence rate of low back pain (LBP) among healthcare professionals causes frequent hospitalisation, work absenteeism, and early retirement. Healthcare providers’ beliefs about LBP are essential in the recovery process patients suffering from LBP. This study was aimed to investigate incidence students their on association between physical function. A cross-sectional used collect online data all years undergraduate four programmes. Extended Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ-E) Health Care Providers’ Pain Impact Relationship Scale (HC-PAIRS) tools were determine impact function, respectively. total 239 participated with a mean age 21.90 years. Females (74.5%) outnumber males (25.5%). Many experienced for lifetime (82%) last 12 months (55.2%) initial onset at mid-teen-age. physiotherapy occupational therapy lower during month day collection. females same, but higher seniors than junior students. Occupational found have more negative positive LBP, requires appropriate interventions. marginal needs immediate actions instil them.
